One of my husband's many wonderful qualities is his tendency, every few months, to declare a Saturday "Everyone Gets New Shoes Day!" Who can argue with that?! These hemp sneakers are my last "shoe holiday" purchase. They are Simple Shoe brand, and I found them on zappos.com for $59. They're not only vegan; they're green, too. The cotton lining is organic, and the outer rubber sole is made from recycled car tires. And I like the purple laces.
